Inspired by the collective memory of my community of Nad Al Sheba, this projects to bring to life the intangible moments that happen between members of the community in our beloved Nad Al Sheba mosque. Result showcased at Zayed University Senior showcase.

As a member of the Nad Al Sheba community, I can proudly say that I have become a witness to various layers of activities that occur within the boundaries of our beloved Masjid Nad Al Sheba. From nodding to the early birds, to the sighs of disappointment when the loud children start doing their rounds, and where the shusher tends to follow. The community recognizes those actions and have accepted it as part of their own. Those moments make up the language of Nad Al Sheba, where it is understood only by those within the community itself. History is evidence that mosques where built as a reflection of the life lived around it. Taking into consideration the density of people taking over the space, I challenged myself to physically show the connection of the congregation, allowing the language the was once unseen and understood solely by the community, to be understood by all.
