Celebrating 50 years of Arab health

A series of sketches exploring the idea of the seven emirates telling our story. The sketches were the basis of the final artwork, design and produced for @dubaiculture.

Commissioned by Dubai Culture, this installation served as a visual gateway and dirwaza to the summit through the memories of my grandmother in Old Dubai, Shindagha sketched by her & I. A version of this installation was first reintroduced in Sikka Art Fair 2024 and reintroduced in Al Serkal Avenue…..

Al Shibriya embodies memory, inspired by my grandmother›s stories of life in Shindagha, Dubai, during the 1970s. When I learned about my great grandfather sleeping on a Shibriya, I asked, “Didn’t you sleep on the floor? ”She replied, “Oh yes, we did. He was one of the lucky ones.”……

Narrating Beginning visually extends the ongoing dialogue with my grandmother (Omi), exploring her memories in Shindigha….

In early 2022, Adidas had reached out to Dubai based creatives to propose design elements to celebrate the opening of their new store in Dubai Mall. I was honored to contribute through creating an homage to my home through two design elements, the tote and later in the year, the light box that welcomes you within the store…..

Inspired by the collective memory of my community of Nad Al Sheba, this projects to bring to life the intangible moments that happen between members of the community in our beloved Nad Al Sheba mosque. Result showcased at Zayed University Senior showcase.

Theme: Connection to Emirati heritage through exploration of Arabic jewelry and perfume.

An outlet to create graphics that go beyond the physical boundaries of Interior Design, I surrendered to designing free flowing graphics that encompass never ending graphics and freeform text as a way to relief my eyes from the constraints of floor plans and construction documents.
