Theme: Connection to Emirati heritage through exploration of Arabic jewelry and perfume.
Assigned to look within our own homes to derive inspiration for a potential piece of jewelry, I gravitated towards my mother's belongings. From pieces of Arabic jewelry to free flowing thoubs and her miniature paintings, the common factor was a sense of warmth each element embodied. That was the driving force towards what the final piece would embody, the warmth of Emirati treasures.
