The Internship Journal: Day Eight

Sometimes a shock to the system is exactly what you need to keep going. I guess?

Sometimes a shock to the system is exactly what you need to keep going. I guess?

This morning started with a bang, and by bang I mean bumping into the glass door of the office. After sitting with my embarrassment, I continued working where I left off yesterday. I measured the wall of the master bathroom where a feature wall was to be placed, this way I can come up with configurations based on the size of the marble slab. After calculations and experimentations, Blaz, my supervisor, came by for an update. He suggested I add a human  figure as reference to understand the size of the wall. Upon adding the human figure, it was clear I got the measurements wrong as I included the false ceiling which was not accurate for calculations. After adjusting, we came up with tiling of the marble that would highlight it and we decided to never look at the piece of marble for the next week. Blaz encouraged me to start working on the master bedrooms and we discussed possible changes and how I would apply my studies to Project G. I opened up the conversation to start working on detailed drawings so that is the plan for the next coming weeks.
